Is it possible to save multiple tracks as a preset in Cubase?

Hello Everyone,

I have a project in Cubase with two intwo instrument tracks, each using a different VST instrument. Together, these two tracks create a specific sound that I designed. I want to know if there’s a way to save these two tracks together as a preset, not as a project. My goal is to be able to load this preset in any session, sI mean while working on a different project, I can load that preset and it will bring in those two instruments and tracks just as they were.
I’ve used Ableton in the past, and there’s an option to save an ‘Instrument Rack,’ which allows you to group multiple instruments running in parallel into a single unit.

Is this possible in Cubase, and if so, how can I do it?

Thanks!

Hi,

You can File > Import > Tracks from Project. Then you can select your source project and the destination tracks. Then you can set to import just the track’s settings, not the track’s data.

Remember where you save them, if you want backups.

I think it should be stated that unless you need to maintain any specific output routing, you can save a group of selected tracks as a Track Preset. The option to Save Track Preset… will appear when you right-click on your selection.
