Is IXO12 Output volume software controllable on macOS?

Hi, I am considering buying the IXO12 audio interface. My concern is if I can control the volume via macOS?

The reason I am asking is I have a small experience with Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, and surprisingly, I have understood that I could change the volume only via the knob, not from keyboard/mouse.

I have purchased this audio interface, and no, unfortunately, the volume control via macOS is disabled.

Dear Steinberg, could you please fix it? My 15 years old ESI UGM96 can be controlled via hotkeys in macOS, so it must be some driver-device communication mistake?
