Is "marker" a Steinberg employee?

Just wondering. Thanks in advance

Does his Avatar show the little Steinberg icon? Employees have that on the Avatar picture

He has changed his screen name and avatar several times and has always been all over this forum. Started out as WaveLab Pro.

Kinda what I figured…sometimes his “advice” is GREAT sometimes not so good…FWIW

@Marker , judgement or preconceived oppinions aside maybe you should enlighten our forum colleagues.
Afterall, they’re talking about you, you have seen the posts, replied 3 times and deleted your post on a fourth edit.

I suggest you assume a stand and reply.
In my oppinion youhave three options for acceptable replies:

  1. Yes, iam.
  2. No, i’m not.
  3. Rather not say as it’s none of your business.

I sincerely think that replying, editing and finally, deleting the reply is not the best option.
Not what i would do, anyway.

  • No, i’m not.

If he wants to believe I am a Steinberg Employee, it is his choice.

I find it hard to reply to a user who has

  1. Very few questions/posts relating to workflow or specific features of WL but creating general posts about wavelab as if this was reddit or quora or a blog.
  2. A bipolar opinion of wavelab - who first argue WL is not complicated and then create a post saying WL is complicated.

The first quote is not from me. It is someone’s answer to my statement.

Your whole post is very confusing and the final statement makes no real sense…Your answers, for the most part, are helpful. As “Wavelab Pro” you sometimes gave false answers to questions and made it appear that you were some kind of employee of Steinberg…FWIW

I use WL for sample editing; therefore, I wasn’t aware of many mastering features. I might have been wrong (on posts about plugin latency etc.),

What do you mean? Are you saying you did not write this below post? 4 people have already liked your post.

Because of @Thomas_W_Bethel and his backup user, the moderator of this forum asked me to change username WavelabPro.

Take it easy guys!
We’re in a forum centered around an audio software tool.

It’s a Forum about a TOOL!!!

…inhale…exhale…

I am also considering to starting a thread

Who is “Thomas” is he employee of Dolby? Just Curious, Thanks in Advance.

I am a mastering/audio restoration engineer and have nothing to do with Dolby (except using it on cassette decks and reel to reel tape decks)…

I have been on this forum (under my own name) almost since it started and have been using WL since 1995 starting with version 1.6.2. I don’t hide behind a pseudonym or a nom de plume as other folks do including you. FWIW

True but this forum provides option for users to use any name. There is a user here who has username - wavelab.

Marker has clarified that he is not a Steinberg employee, so this thread will be closed. If you have a problem with a username, you can report it. However, I don’t see why the username “Marker” should be a concern. Please refrain from creating such threads.
