Hi Lars,
Is MIDI 2 a possibility for Cubasis 3 on iOS?
MIDI 2.0 was released in 2020, offering everything that modern musicians need today, like increased speed and fidelity, better control of instruments, modern bi-directional conversations and negotiation between instruments, discovery, better USB timing, and more.
My good friend @John1 brought this fascinating subject to my attention and now I am hungry for more information.

I have researched the pro’s and con’s of having MIDI 2 in a DAW such as Cubasis 3 and I have come to a conclusion that MIDI 2 is far too advanced for any DAW…….for any human.
Currently MIDI-1 is 7 bit resolution ie- each CC# or note has 128 parameters, whereas MIDI-2 is 32 bit resolution and each CC# or note has millions of parameters to work with
how would your trusty iPad manage all that data, how would your brain handle all this two way MIDI communication when trying to figure out a wrongly placed MIDI event……not in this century I reckon.
Cubasis 3 with MIDI-1……the perfect combination, let’s keep it that way.
