Thank you! THAT’S the answer I was looking for! I’m guessing that Cubase sets the Mix Console with these options as default, because I myself did not turn them on, nor did I realize they were optional. Disabling the Channel label and EQ curves, and removing other superfluous information returned my Mix Console to an acceptable height. It’s still not as good as C11, but I think I can live with it.

There’s a recent forum thread where a bunch of users including myself have been advocating for Steinberg to reimplement the previous Cubase v13 minimalistic lower zone mixer alongside with the new Cubase v14 lower zone mixer to give users the option to choose between the “v13 minimalistic and v14 fully featured” lower zone mixer designs.
Some users feel like the previous Cubase v13 sidebar button/tab minimalistic design was more convenient and efficient for them due to various different reasons.
It would be nice if you could contribute a post to that thread and explain how the new Cubase v14 lower zone mixer design has caused some inconveniences for you.
