Is there a demo version?

I know, it’s sacrilege, the idea that I would want to try out the software first…
Seriously though, is there a demo version that I just can’t find, or is one planned?

There always was a trial version but it seems it’s not the case this time.
Maybe later?

In the past trial versions have showed up a few weeks after the release, I suppose it’ll be the same now.
