Hi guys,
I’m trying to find out if there’s a way to select just the region between the locators on a selected track, without selecting everything on all tracks.
Here’s what I’m doing: First, I set the left locator at one point. Then I move the cursor and set the right locator at another point. Now I want to highlight only the part between the locators, but only on the track I selected. The only shortcut I found is “Select in Loop”, but that selects the region across all tracks, and that’s not what I want. I know I could manually highlight the area, but because I’m zoomed out, setting the locators is much more precise for me.
Is there a shortcut to do this only on one track, or is “Select in Loop” the only way??
Thanks.
No shortcut, alternatively you can select the track you want to isolate the range on, use the Range Selection Tool, and Hold Ctrl
and click inside the track lane between the locators.
Would be cool a feature where you can create “actions” like in photoshop where one would start recording a set of commands and create an action that could be used later.
you can try this macro
but there are several ways to get there and choose certain options like soloing
You must first select the event(s) before applying the macro.
I use a touch screen to trigger my macros and I put the tracks in solos
Thanks guys for the help.
@Freudon,I really like how clean is the GUI you’re using. A few weeks ago, I made something similar with AHK. It’s not quite as sophisticated in terms of looks as yours, but it does the job perfectly for what I need.
