Is there a simple way to auto-pull down the volume of the instrument if there is no MIDI signal?

Hello! I need your help! I almost always have to manually automate the volume knob to 0 when I play some reese bass, because I have such a chain of OTT and other things that there is a huge tail after playing the notes. Is there a simple way to auto-pull down the volume of the instrument if there is no MIDI signal?

I have no idea what ‘reese bass’ is, but…

Maybe use the MidiGate across the audio you want to open/close. You need to route your MIDI notes to it and then you will only hear audio from that channel when a MIDI note allows it.

I need to choke all reverb tails for several (for example 4) instruments after MIDI is played.
To use MidiGate I need to create 4 additional MIDI tracks and write their MIDI signals.
Is there a more simple way?

Group the audio signals you want to mute and insert MidiGate on the Group channel - only one controlling MIDI track required.

It works! Thanks a lot!

Alternatively to @The_Elf 's method you can also use up to 4 midi sends on the midi track that you use for controlling the gate. In the example below I have used ‘only’ two.
Expanding on the idea using MIDI Gate: You can setup gate patterns in the MIDI plugin “Step Designer”. Step Designer let’s you also control volume through velocity and note length through gate length. Pitch can be ignored.

I think combined these two tools are quite powerful for creating gated sounds and you can even create a nice library of gate patterns through the Step Designer’s preset system.

I understand that is beyond what you initially asked for but I just wanted to put it out there.
