In this chamber work at the bar shown there is a metric modulation in which a quarter note of a quarter note triplet becomes the eight note beat unit. The viola is not playing the triplet so I want to show another instrument that is playing the triplet. I’ve tried adding a cue which works in the part but shows in the score. If I try to add it as an ossia it still shows up in the score. I would like to have it look like the attached pic.

Can you confirm that, for your score layout, Layout Options > Players > Cues > Show cues is unticked?
I did uncheck it but it seems to be working now. Thanks.
