Is there a way to assign colors to specific line in tracks?

Im using Cubase 13 pro and I have line in 1 set to guitars and line in 2 set to vocals. Can I set up line in one to be green . so that every time I add audio track on line in 3 it defaults to green?

and the same for line in two to be yellow every time I load in audio line in 2?

It’s not clear what you mean by this. Are you referring to Audio, MIDI or…?

Sorry yeah audio so I have in audio conections bus 1 labeled Guitars bus 2 labelled vocals and bus 3 labeled Mics. What I want to know is when I click add audio track can a colour be assigned to each bus.
For example bus guitar every time I choose this and add a track it will be green

Bus two vocals when I choose this it will be yellow

Bus 3 Mics when I choose this the track will be yellow.

In other daws I’ve always been able to specify which audio Chanel I want to load ie guitar and that would always load green

I haven’t found a way to do this yet in cubase I always have to manually change it’s colour

No way to assign colours by inputs
You could save a selection of track templates with everything set up as you want it.

Got it.

Yeah, there isn’t any mechanism to automatically color the Track based on its Input.

I’m not sure if all the necessary commands actually exist, but maybe you could make a Macro that Creates the Track, Assigns the Input and sets its Color.

Another potential approach might be using Track Presets.

Starting from a well thought out Template always helps.

A smidgen off-topic: In my Template I have all my Input Channels color coded to match a bunch of colored mic cables which always stay attached to the same physical Inputs. Then I just need to look at the cable and find the same colored Channel.

Smart!

Thank you for you’re help
