Lets say just want to use a plugin for a section of a song (especially when mastering) and the plugin itself doesnt have a mix knob. Is there a way to load the plugin in a way so that it has a mix knob and automate the mix setting ?
For example only in a portion of a song i want to have izotope ozone be activated.
Yes, hit record automation and press bypass on or off when needed.
The topic title and the description are completely different things.
Hi,
Use the FX Channel. Then you can set the ratio of the dry and wet signal by the Send level.
Or by the return level… but it leads to the same result.
holy smokes this actually worked. didnt even expect it to work hahah and didnt think twice about it. thanks!
I automated the plugin bypass… but its not on point!! Its delayed somehow. Really annoying… anyone else experienced this??
What does it mean? How did you do the automation?
Did you read the thread above?
Your problem is not related to the above question.
I mean… its possible to automate a plugins bypass… but when I do it… its delayed. From where I chose to bypass the plugin, it takes like 1s for it to bypass it. Making it very off point
Delayed? I guess, you press the button too late.
No I write the automation manually to be precise. But the bypass reacts to slow. Weird.
Which plugin?
My plugins react as they should.
Slate EQ infinity
Hmm maybe its a third party plugin issue then.
Hi,
Could you try with any other plug-in at your system, please?
I have the same problem with steinberg autofilter and many others as well.. automation is not on point.. playback-wise.
