Hi everyone, can someone be specific on how (if possible) i can export these custom templates I have created. Thanks so much
What does the bottom of the panel look like when you open the Page Template Sets part of the menu?
The little arrow in a bucket icon lets you export the template set (when you choose one from the list).
The little arrow in a bucket is import only tho.
The one next to it only works if you start off by selecting the Template Set you wish to export.
i have it selected, but I don’t know what you mean by “the one next to it” … the one next to it that i see is Rename Page Template on the left and the trash icon on the right. But to reiterate, I did have it selected.
so in other words, I can’t export my custom Title Page Templates because theyre only available in the current project. OK, good to know. Thanks
Select the Page Template Set you wish to export, then press the Export Page Template Set button at the bottom.
Thanks but my Custom Templates aren’t in the Page Template Sets, they were created in the area above that “Page Templates” … which doesn’t have the export feature … very confusing
No, they’re contained within the Default Full Score set.
They’re only stored in that set within that project, though. If you want to export that set, follow the instructions I gave in my last post. It might be worth renaming that set to something more useful than “Default Full Score” first, as that name is confusing given this set, now modified, isn’t really a Default set.
Every page template in a project is part of a set. If you look at the image you posted above, you’ll see that the Page Templates panel indicates that the current set is Default Full Score. So if you want to export these templates, you should do as @pianoleo suggests: Select Default Full Score in the Page Template Sets panel, and export it.
What does get a little confusing is that each project inherits a copy of the default template sets, so that when you make changes to the Default Full Score set inside of a project, you’re only modifying that project’s copy of the set – you’re not changing any Dorico defaults. So to get your changes into another project, you need to export the current set and then import it into another project.
Ohhhhh. Got it! Thank you
Well guys, Thanks to all of you who got me through this, I DID IT!!! Took a little time to understand this logic, but all is well!
