Every time I have to do some music transcribing from an audio file, I create a video with a still image from it. This can then be imported into Dorico. This workflow makes the transcribing process so much faster and easier.

For creating the video with a still image, I use Davinci Resolve - but this should also be possible using the ffmpg open source video utility.

Now, when Cubase 14 has Dorico export support, I might use Cubase for transcribing and then export the file to Dorico for finishing the job - but I haven’t tried this workflow yet.

I’ve seen folks make a video that shows the time code too.
