Basically I’ve run into a wall. I’m going through too many clicks in order to do something that other DAWs do in one.
I’m trying to quantize a recorded piece of audio and then have it set to musical mode. If I quantize and then hit musical mode, the quantizing is gone.
The only way I found for it to work is to Reset tempo definition, turn Musical Mode on and then quantize it.
So, is there a way to quickly Reset Tempo Definition?
Thank you
I assume with quantizing audio you mean that you quantize the content of the audio event.
Since this process uses time-stretching and musicla mode uses time-stretching as well they cannot work at the same time.
You could bounce the audio event after quantizing. This will create a new file with the quantization baked in. Then you can put this new file/event into musical mode.
That’s too bad that they cannot work at the same time. This might be the only daw that doesn’t allow this. It works when I Reset Tempo Definition, Turn Musical Mode On and the Quantize. That’s just way too many clicks though. It really kills the workflow.
Yeah… “might be”… have a nice day Igor.
Thank you, Johnny. I appreciate you taking the time to reply. Cheers!
