I don’t want to come across as nitpicky but in order to avoid unneccesary confusion with regard to terminology:
You have mixed up Musical Mode with Musical Timebase at the end of your post. Same for Linear Mode - it’s called Linear Timebase. Ain’t no thang like Linear Mode in Cubase… I hope you don’t mind. @raino wrote an excellent summary
