Is there an audio reset in Cubase?

In Sonar, there is a button to stop and start the audio engine, which really helps if the driver gets in a state where the audio gets glitched.

Is there something similar in Cubase? It sucks to have to restart the program just because of an audio driver glitch.

Thanks.

Hi,

Not a button like this. But you can go to the Studio > Studio Setup > VST Audio System in switch to No ASIO driver and then back to your driver.

Btw, it shouldn’t happen that audio driver gets in to this state. What Audio Device do you use?

I use the Steinberg driver for the UR44. It happens when it seems to be on the edge of not being able to keep up, and once it’s ‘overloaded’, so to speak, it stays that way.

Thanks.

Hi,

Could you increase the Buffer Size? You should get it if this item then.

I could, but I don’t want to.

Maybe the solution would be to quickly switch on and off the Constrain Delay Compensation (F10) that will surely reset the audio engine instantly.
