No, updates never have educational pricing, I’m afraid. (Some upgrades do, e.g. going from Dorico Elements to Dorico Pro, if you’re eligible for educational pricing, but not updates from one version of the same product to the next.)

A quick follow on question.

I have Dorico 3.5 pro education version (I purchased in May). Can I simply buy the standard 3.5 to 4.0 upgrade (at £85)?

Will this enable me to upgrade my version to 4.0?

Does this move me from the education to the full version? I know that the functionality is the same.

Does Dorico education license preclude my earning income from music created in it? Will the upgrade therefore upgrade me to a commercial license. (I’m hoping that all this study will lead to some income).

It does move you from an educational license to a full retail license. There are some provisions about commercial use in the license agreement for the educational version, but they will no longer apply after you have updated to Dorico 4.
