Is there any mouth sound removal inserts for Cubase LE AI 12?

Hello, I am recently starting using the cubase LE AI 12 to do vocal recording and noticed that the default inserts do not have the mouth sound removal fx, is there any fx available that I can download or I have to upgrade to a different version of Cubase? Thanks.

What do you mean mouth sound effects?

like the mouth clicks during recording.

I don’t think there is a free plugin to achieve this. You can always just cut out the unwanted parts or lower their volume level.
That is what us old farts are doing.

What are mouth clicks? Am I the only one not knowing?

Yes, I did a little search, there is a paid plug-in called Izotope Mouth De-Click, it is part of RX11, but I not sure if anyone tried and find out it is worthy. Also, I am on LE AI 12, the RX11 needs cubase 14. Then I need to update my AI 12 to 14 first.

Okay, I did a quick search and found out. Actually, I didn’t know that these noises are called mouth clicks, my bad. I can’t recall having had much of them, actually, very rarely if at all.

Although I do have a version of this plugin here on my system (RX 10)

I must admit that I never used it… Why? IF such noises occur I handle them manually old-fart-style like Johnny  . These sort of plugins are designed to reduce the work load when you are dealing with voice overs and encountering a lot of these mouth clicks. If you are editing vocals I would definetly go for manual edits if you are looking for quality results.

Or… next time I have a juicy dinner, I’ll set up a mic and give the plugin a test ride

You can try to download and use Cubase AI 14. The AI license is supposed to be valid for any version number from 12 onwards.

Thanks for the reply, sometimes I find it is too hard to do it manually, especially the click occurs within a vocal recording, not between.

Great, I just got it updated!
