this bug is still here, after three point releases/updates rolled out to Cubase (still present as of 15.0.30, it’s been around for nearly a year now?). it’s very, very disruptive - part of my workflow is duplicating sampler tracks and loading different kicks from my library to select the best one, and this bug has wasted so much time, being bewildered as to what’s causing the issue. please fix it, team!

i thought the issue was me, somehow - but it is definitely not. it’s a pretty sinister bug.
I think somehow this bug has actually been around for even longer than a year, and have basically given up hope. It’s so completely disruptive and I’m really surprised something this critical hasn’t been immediatel prioritized and addressed by Steinberg. I’ve shifted half of my workflow over to Ableton recently because auditioning samples has become so difficult.

hope that they are quietly working on a patch for this in the upcoming next point release, because it is most definitely crippling the sampler track for me too!
it HAS been around for a very long time; I’m not sure how long exactly but for a good length of the sampler track’s life. I’ve been using it since the very beginning when it was added and feel like I noticed the symptoms first sometime over a year ago but maybe less than two years ago? again, hard to say since it’s such an odd reproduction step and isn’t always what someone is doing with the sampler. very hard to trace initially.
For me, I think it’s basically any time I duplicate the Sampler Track and start messing with samples in the 2nd (new) track. If I at any point remove that track, it then somehow impacts the original 1st track by swapping out the sample.
Really frustrating because it makes it difficult to duplicate channels to audition and mess with new samples. I basically have to create a new Sampler Track each time rather than duplicating, and then copying over all inserts, automation, etc.
Hey guys, this issue has been ongoing for about a year now, and Steinberg still hasn’t fixed it. At this point, it really feels like they’re not listening to their customers or treating this major bug with the attention it deserves. It’s incredibly frustrating to see an issue go unresolved for this long, and honestly, it reflects poorly on Steinberg’s approach to supporting its users.
Seems fixed in 15.0.40
