Issue/Bug When Duplicating Sampler Tracks Cubase 15

Hi All,

I’m running the latest version of Cubase 15.

There’s an issue when duplicating ‘Sampler Tracks’

After duplicating the sampler track I change the sample to a new one, but it always reverts back to the original sample?

I duplicate sampler tracks because I want to keep the same plugins and routing but change the sound/sample.

Sometimes it might work if you duplicate it one time and change the sample, however if you duplicate it numerous times the sample always reverts back to the original.

Is anyone else having this issue? I’ve been doing this for years with all previous versions of Cubase and never had a problem. I have no idea why it’s happening in Cubase 15 or how to fix it. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sean

Hi and welcome to the forum,

I cannot replicate the issue you described.

  • I have a Sample Track A with sample X.
  • Right-click the Sample Track A > Duplicate Track.
  • Sample Track B with sample X has been created.
  • Drag-and-drop sample Y over to the Sample Control of track B.
→ Sample Track A is using sample X and Sample Track B is using sample Y, as expected.

Cubase 15.0.6.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for your help.

Can you try duplicating Track A again, and add another sample. Also duplicate Track B and add another sample. Now, We should have Track A, B, C, D. All with different samples.

However, for me, the samples keep reverting back to the original in Track A.

Let me know how you go.

Thanks

Hi,

Oh, now I can replicate it.

  • Right-click the Sample Track A > Duplicate Track.
  • Sample Track C with sample X has been created.
=> Sample Track B contains sample X instead of Y.

Reported to Steinberg.
