Cubase 12 doesn’t give a warning message when trying to save Mixer Channels with a too long path/filename (Win 10 limitation). Previous version crashed or sometimes gave an “unclear” message of error.
No big deal but irritating if you do not check that settings have actually been saved.
This path limitation can be overridden by registry changes, but it would be good with a warning message anyway.
How to recreate
o Create a folder structure with long names and try to save Mixer Channels with a long name at the lowest level ( longer than 256 pos).
o Open folder again to verify that settings (.vmx file) have been saved and file should not be there.
