Btw, share the whole Preferences folder, not just the UserPreferences.xml file.

Cubase Preferences folders are:
Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Cubase X
Win: %appData% \Steinberg\Cubase X_64

Where the X is the Cubase version (for example, 14).

I read another post about reinstalling Cubase. You (Martin) suggested not to reinstall, but to delete the Preferences folders (also the ones from earlier versions of Cubase).
So I did, but I kept the Preferences of C12 (because the problem doesn’t occur in C12) and then launched C13. Et voila: problem solved!
Did the same for C14: works also.
So we don’t know the exact cause of the problem; probably something in the Preferences
