As you can see from my previous posts, I am getting numerous random problems with Cubase. Things just do not work as they should.
Here are todays problems. On start up one of my 5.1 ports went missing, never had this before. I had to go into my Studio Set up for my focusrite 18i20 disable the port and re-enable it.
Then, whilst I was running a test track, it worked for a few minutes correctly, then inexplicably it will only show my CC1 and CC11 lane activity in the Project Zone, not in the Key Editor.
I am also getting numerous problems with Keyswitches, with Linked groups, loosing their names.
I have heard that MIDI 2 has a problem with opening ports late. It’s beyond my pay grade, but could this be an Issue?
Is there any way to reverse MIDI 2? Here is a pic of todoays Gremlin
I deleted a track and recorded another. Now I have the opposite problem. The data is being shown in the Key Editor lower Zone but not in the project Zone. I have also lost activity being shown in the Activity bar.
This has nothing to to with the new MIDI services, it depends on how you have CC automation setup configured and if you have automation write enabled when recording CC data.
Thank you
So I contacted Steinberg. Multiple issues including this one. They advised I roll back WIndows to previous build. They said they had lots of contact. They are issuing a fix but it won’t be the next, but the one after. I rolled back Windows and now my track is working again. See how it goes.
OK, I think I got confused because in one of your screenshots, you had write automation enabled, in the other not (that can of course lead to different results depending on the settings…).
