[Issue] VEP eLicenser error if opened after CB8

If I attempt to load VEP after CB8 I get the following error cascade:

This does not occur with CB 7.5. I am using the latest versions of CB8, eLicenser and VEP. Anyone experienced this behaviour and found a solution? I have raised a ticket (3 weeks ago) but the quality of response so far (in terms of time taken and helpfulness) is falling short of the usual Steinberg standard.
