issue with multitimbral VSTi

Hi everyone,
I have an issue with multitimbral VSTi:
All the midi-tracks produce only one timbre, selected by mouse in main VSTi menu.
What I have done:

  1. Creating the instrumental track (e.g. Hypersonic SE)
  2. Selection of proper instruments/timbers related to midi channels (e.g. 1,2,3)
  3. Creating midi-tracks
  4. Selection of VSTi (e.g. Hypersonic SE) and channel (1,2 or 3) for each midi-track in inspector.
    Despite the aforementioned all the tracks sound similarly!
    How do I solve this problem?

Hi and welcome,

  1. You mean in the HALion Sonic SE GUI, right?

  2. Where do you select it? If you keep the HALion Sonic SE window open, you can see, where is the MIDI data from the track routed to. So if you select the MIDI Track with Channel 4, you should see, the data is coming to Channel 4 in the HALion Sonic SE. Is this the case on your side?

From your description what you are doing sounds correct, probably just a misplaced setting somewhere. Can you post some screen grabs so we can see exactly what is set to what.
