I never got an answer and have since stopped using SpectralLayers 11 as I work mostly in surround tracks. I did not bother with SpectralLayers 12 for that reason. I am surprised at this as I would have expected more from Steinberg. If you are using stereo tracks SpectralLayers 11 ARA seems to work. And as stated in my first post, the standalone version works.
I have not used it in so long I don’t remember. But thanks for the tip. I will give it a try to see. I do remeber uninstalling and reinstalling, but not specifically deleting the preferences.
There’s probably something fishy with your setup. I use SpectraLayers 12 in ARA with Cubase 15 on Mac Studio M1 under Sequoia and have no problems (except for Cubase not being able to communicate the correct Track/Part colour with SpectraLayers, which seems to be a bug according to Steinberg support).
So it might be worth while to ditch the prefs, you know they don’t get refreshed with an uninstall/reinstall.
I did delete preferences and it still did not work. I have given up on Spectralayers 11 with Cubase 15. Just does not work. I have not upgraded to version 12 as I don’t want to put good money after bad.
Thank you for trying. These things are so complicated and I know system specific. I just ran out of ime to deal with the broken ARA. Really apprectate your input.
