Issues when loading really old project on really old machines

I have an old 3,1 8 core Mac Pro from 2008 that I wrote a lot of music on.

I also have an old 5,1 12 core Mac Pro from 2010 that I’m now trying to load those projects on.

I’ve taken the hard drive (running snow leopard (10.6.8)) out of the 8 core and put in the 12 core and now when I load a project certain plugins don’t load or crash and some plugins are now set to the wrong settings.

Any advice is appreciated!!!

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Unfortunately we don’t know, which Cubase version are you using.

Was it 32-bit Cubase in the past? Do you load the project in 64-bit Cubase now?

Versions 4 and 6.5. Both running 32 bit on both machines.

Hi,

With Cubase 6.5 license, you can start Cubase 4. So you can try to install Cubase 4 on the system and run it.

Are the affected plugins the same version on both machines?

Thank you so much for the replies!

I’m taking the hard drive out of the 3,1 machine and putting it in the 5,1 machine. So it’s exactly the same installs and everything as it’s the same hard drive. Only thing different is the machine it’s actually in.
