Latest version of Dorico and MacOS - I’ve noticed a couple of odd behaviors in Preferences / Colors / Background Colors.
First, after changing the background color (to a new gradient from the nice list of choices), when I hit “Reset to Factory”, the Apply button doesn’t activate; when I hit Close, the background color remains unchanged.
Second, no matter which background color template I choose, the menu picker shows (Custom), instead of the chosen selection.
Has anyone else noticed this?
(Edit - changed the thread title per Judd’s suggestion)
I can confirm this behavior under Mac OS 14.5. Also, Hitting “Reset to Factory” Jumps me away from the Colors tab to General, though this may be the expected behavior.
Also confirmed. Though I should add that the actual background does change, so maybe a modified Thread title would be clearer…?
When you click Reset to Factory, it’s expected that you should be taken back to the General page, but the changes to the options on the Colours page should take effect in the application right away. I’ll sort this out.
Similarly, when you choose a preset on the Colours page, it should remain chosen in the list of presets until you tweak one of the colours individually or otherwise reset it back to the default value. I’ll also sort this out in due course.
Using OS 15.3, I’m having the following issue: whenever I invert fore and background colors (i.e white text on black background) and change the border shape to anything but square (i.e. rounded corners, I briefly see the white text appear only to then vanish and being left with only the black background shape. I’ve tried this with simple text, but also with performance techniques, custom paragraph styles, with different border widths, with default text as the parent, as well as no parent, and with various fonts. Result is always the same, after hitting return, I briefly see the white text on black background, only to then get “swallowed” up by the black background. Any ideas of what might be happening?
