I constantly have issues with dspMixFx with my UR44C. It does not start and does not see the bridge in the Audio MIDI setup on my Mac. It is enough to restart the computer for its to work. It turns out every time I want to either record sth or open Cubase i need to start by rebooting my Macbook. All tools & drivers are in the latest version - I checked. I use Macbook Pro M1 Max, with MacOS 15.3.2
Hi there, I have the same setup. I use a psu with the UR44c device and a small (non powered) usb c hub where I plug the ur44 usbc and a few other midi devices (faderport etc) via.
I occasionally find the connection to the ur device is lost, normally I suspect I jiggled a usb cable too much when it happens. My remedy though is less drastic. I simply flip the power source switch at the back of the ur44c to effectively cut the psu power and then re enable it. This is usually enough for the mac and dsp mixer to recognise the device again. Have you tried this?
The difference is that my URC is always connected via its own PSU to the grid and my USB hub (with mic, camera etc) has its own supply so no way the power issue.
Slight difference of setup then. Still worth trying to flip that switch at the back next time it happens in case it helps? I’m not thinking it’s because of power issues, simply a USB Data connect interrupt that flipping the switch maybe helps..
