Hi, I’m using OPUS player in Cubase Elements (14.0.20 Build 240).
It works, BUT the issue is in the OPUS’s “PLAY” tab, when I try to see the specific instrument interface that I added, it shows a big black square
. It seems the controls works, but the graphic interface doesn’t appears. However it shows and works properly in the standalone aplication…
Looked into it on several forums and sites, can’t found any similar case
Thanks for your help !
Hi and welcome to the forum,
Do you have the latest version of the Play plug-in installed, please?
What graphic card do you have? Is the graphic driver up to date?
Hi, and thanks for reading.
Yes, I updated the play software just before to write this topic, from EW downloader, but I ignore if is the same plug-in you mention.
I first thought it was my graphic card’s fault, but why the standalone interface works properly?.. anyway, my pc doesn’t have a dedicated graphics procesator, it works with intel integrated software, intel i5 3rd generation, is kind of old I know.
Please help. I don’t solve the problem yet
Hi,
I would get in touch with EastWest.
Because the drawing of the stand-alone might be different from drawing in the plug-in.

I’m getting the same issue since the update. Will be putting a query in to east West shortly. Is it to do with the DPI settings?
This is either system specific or instrument specific, because it works fine here (i9 12900K/AMD 7900 XTX).
I once had a similar issue with Waves plugins - but white GUI, not black. The problem was too many plugins. When I removed just one, the guis came back.
So it may be a gpu issue - not enough cojones.
Cubase doesn’t require much in the graphics department, but some plugins do.
The response from East west was to go to standalone OPUS and change the preferences for the open GI. “go to the settings (gear icon) > Preferences > Other tab, turn off ‘Use OpenGL Acceleration’.” That worked for me. Will look at Play later today.
Thank you so much!
It works perfectly!
