Is RX Connect still unstable?
I tested it yesterday and it works.
As always with Izotope RX, do not use the “Auto Apply” feature in the “Direct Offline Processing” windows.
The process I used is :
And there you go!
For your information, I just emailed Izotope Support to ask when ARA will work in Nuendo, and here is their response:
At the moment there is no planned ARA integration for RX 12 with Cubase & Nuendo.
That Said I’d be happy to pass on this feedback to our product team for consideration in future updates for the product.
So maybe if other people send them an email, they’ll get moving a little more? ![]()

Please let us know if it continues to work. With RX11, it worked fine for me for a day or so and then just ceased to work properly.
I have thoughts on this, but I’ll refrain since I can’t put them politely.
Fredo
i’m able to send the audio to RX12, but it doesn’t but it doesnt send back for me after making edits :"(. anyone have this issue?
RX11, still kinda works. sometimes it doesnt send back, then i just restart nuendo and it works again.
I had the same problem with Spectral Layers. The fix was to bounce the track instead which worked.
Yeah, I know all this but does it work when you edit multiple audio clips at the same time?
Problem occurs for me when I try do some light dialogue cleaning for the whole scene at the same time.
FWIW I do use auto apply on the DOP with RX12 Advanced.
I always leave auto apply on. I have a macro as follows
Process Plug-in - RX 12 Connect
Direct Offline Processing - Toggle Auto Apply
This automatically sends to RX and turns off auto apply in the DOP before the switch to RX takes place.
I have this assigned to number 5
Then I do my stuff in RX12 and when finished I have a shortcut key in RX to send back to Nuendo. I have this assigned to number 6
Once back in Nuendo I also use the number 6 as a key command to toggle DOP Auto Apply back on and this commits the audio in DOP back to the clip in Nuendo.
It also leaves DOP ready to go for anything else.
This all involves minimal keystrokes and has become second nature to me.
