Jeez..! Another plugin 'standard' coming...!?

Just got an email announcement from:-

Here’s a quote from said email:-

Plugin Alliance LLC is a new American pro-audio plugin-company, founded by Brainworx CEO Dirk Ulrich. “Our goal is to establish a new, user friendly native plugin “Über-Standard”, supporting all major plugin formats and uniting some of the best-known international audio companies under one virtual home.”

Further, it goes on that when you as a user signs up you get one login, one account and all your native and TDM plugins in one place (no more iLok needed). All authorisations from participating plugin companies will be available to the user at one location… interesting.

But, another native plugin ‘uber-standard’…?! Hmm, big talk…

Well, they must think there is room - VST3 hasn’t exactly lit the world up as yet; see Sonnox, who very recently upgraded all their product to 64-bit and importantly, within weeks of its release, have AAX format editions ready. Yet, not a hint nor mention of the 2+ year old VST3 anywhere on their site.

Just saying…
