Hello. I just purchased Dorico Pro 5 in March…I want to upgrade to Dorico 6, but I’m having trouble justifying spending another $99 when I just spent all that money on Dorico 5 only a few weeks ago. Do I really need to spend another $99 after I’d just bought Dorico 5 in March?
Welcome to the forum, @apodacajesus. The cut-off for the grace period was Wednesday 27 March, so if you first activated the software prior to that date, I’m afraid you’re not eligible for a free update.
I certainly understand why you wouldn’t be in a hurry to spend money on an update so soon, and you don’t need to rush: Dorico 6 will be the current version for a long, long time, so you can always jump on board later on. There will also in future (though a long way in the future) be opportunities to update for less than $99.
You can also try out the free 60-day trial version at any point to see whether the new features in Dorico 6 are worth the additional investment.
