Just bought Pandrum and it ONLY shows in Halion 7 Sonic, not Halion 6

I can see the Pandrum content in Halion 7 sonic but not in Halion 6. Can Steinberg please update the library so it also loads in Halion 6 and Halion 3 Sonic?
Thanks

This won’t happen. Newly purchased expansions use Steinberg Licensing. HALion 6 and HALion Sonic 3 do not support Steinberg Licensing.

The only way to resolve this situation is to upgrade your HALion licence to HALion 7 (or, if your HALion user rights come from an Absolute licence, upgrade Absolute to Absolute 6).

Why not download HALion Sonic 7 for free ?

@audiosurge already has Pandrum working in HALion Sonic 7. They wanted it to work in HALion, but this requires upgrading to HALion 7.

Really didn’t want to load yet another VST instrument like Sonic. I already have a fully licenses Halion 6 and don’t intend to upgrade either. On their website it clearly states that Pandrum IS compatible with Halion 6.
If they advertise it like that, I assume it will work - otherwise it’s just false advertising. There have been other libraries that had to be made compatible with Halion 6, so why not just do it for this one too instead of forcing users to upgrade or download new plugins just for the sake of loading a library.

You’ll have to take the matter up with Steinberg Support.

Pandrum is compatible with HALion 6.4 and HALion Sonic 3.4, but only if your licence is on eLicenser. Pandrum migrated to Steinberg Licensing on 1 June 2023, with existing users being given a voucher to migrate their licence from eLicenser to Steinberg Licensing if they wished. At some point, Steinberg will have switched to issuing new licences on Steinberg Licensing, which breaks the backward compatibility with HALion 6 and HALion Sonic 3. The Steinberg website should have been changed to adjust the compatibility information to HALion 7 and HALion Sonic 7, but this has not happened.

I don’t work for Steinberg or any of its e-commerce partners; I am just explaining what has happened.
