Just opened Cubase 14 first time. My Ivory piano is not listed in vsts!

Hi to the forum,

Just opened a project that uses my ivory American D piano in my first use of Cubase 14, and the kind of strange looking visual of the instruments appears in the vst window, and it doesn’t work. Deleted it, and then went to add Ivory piano from scratch, and it’s not listed in the vst instruments. I don’t know why this is happening. Thanks for any advice how to fix this.

Just in case… I think that Syntogy Ivory is still a VST 2.4 instrument. If so, the little button shown at the bottom of the VST Plug-in Manager window should be activated :

Oh, that’s great! Thank you for your help here. Very much appreciated Cubic13! I’ll try this out.

I installed C14 yesterday and had the same and pressed same button in order to use VSTi Jamstix (it is still vst 2). But something very weird happened: I loaded Jamstix and created a midi track for that instrument. When I went to the “open instrument” option it opened a reverb plug-in instead and no traces of the instrument. Unfortunately I didn’t check the plug-in path. I closed C14, opened C12, loaded a project with Jamstix, opened the instrument and it was alright. I closed C12, opened C14 and loaded Jamstix again and it was alright and working.

It works, but I wanted to share the experience, in case someone has the same, and maybe to try to understand why it happened.
