I’m trying to catch up on what’s new from 9 to 13
can someone please give me a quick brief on the top changes ?
even just on one biggest feature from each of the previous versions
I’m mostly doing editing and a lil bit producing
Go to Google and search for “new features Cubase 9”, then 10, …
Please let us know in case Google is not available in your country.
remind me what 9 had and i can subtract the features from there
Actually Johnny is one of the most helpful folks on this forum.
Think about what you are asking other folks to do for you. Nobody is is going to know off the top of their head what got introduced in which version over the last half a dozen years and 8 different versions of Cubase. In order to answer your question someone would need to research the answer and then summarize the results.
That sure sounds like a huge ask to want someone else to do all that work when, I’m guessing, you are capable of doing it yourself.
Here is a good way to discover new features from past versions:
Go to support page, open web manual from Cubase 10 and check new features section. Here is an exemple from version 10:
Now you can do the same for version 9.5, 10.5, 11, 12 and 13
Since you’ve upgraded already, you’ll see straight away the major differences.
However…
You’ll get an extra mix console, an extra video track, lost in all the moving around of everyday functions (Preferences on the Edit menu, context menu items in the Project window creamed off and placed on random main menus), a few extra fx processors, the F2 toolbar is now on one line and requires a 50" monitor to fit it all in view (or 2 32" monitors as here).
.
.
But when, after a few weeks, you’ve found where everything has been moved, and you go back to C9, you’ll find it so clunky you’ll go straight back to C13. Which seems to be stable, since the last update.
