Keeping the original audio when processing as new track

(Elements 12) The manual is unclear. If I copy an audio track, when I apply an offline process to the new track I see a dialog that asks me to choose New Version to apply the process only to the edited event. I do so… and nothing happens. No processing is applied. If I choose Continue, both tracks are processed. What is the intended path to applying processing only to the new track’s audio?

I suspect this is something to do with the Pool, which I’ve never looked at. I want no connection between the original and copied audio data so I can use them separately. How?

You’re doing it right, that’s the way to do it. New version so you’ll have two different files.
Have you tried different processes and nothing works?

Yes. Reverse, normalize, whatever - no result. ‘Continue’ applies the processing to both, which I don’t want.

Do you by any chance use an ARA Extension on this event? If so then you have to bounce it first and the apply the DOP

I don’t even know what that is. :upside_down_face:

Melodyne, Spectralayers, Revoice Pro, etc

Try bouncing it first and then doing the offline processing. Does it work?

Yes it does! Thank you.
