I’m trying to force myself to ‘record/play’ in my note inputs more since the technology is for dispersing the midi notes in accordance to musical feel is so much better than the technology for that five years ago. One question is, when I go back to re-voice the notes into down and upstem, how can I create a shortcut command for right click>voices>change voice>new down-stem voice? I have a shortcut for switching the voice (v) if the voice is already created, but I often have to go into the right click to generate the new voice. Please advise any other optimizations for midi import (like any customizations in the import dialog if you have anything to recommend) of playing in from the keyboard. Thanks!
You use “Shift-V” to create the new voice. Usually what ends up happening is people learn this hotkey and using it instead of “V” and they end up creating a whole bunch of new voices by mistake.
