Key Command for Random Color Track/Part

Most of the time I don’t care what color a track or part is, I just want to distinguish it.

Example: I cut a range and want that part to get any color that isn’t grey. I wish I could just hit V and have it assigned a random color, to make it stand out.

A key command to assign a random color to the selected tracks or parts would be much easier than opening the colors window, or switching back and forth from the color tool.

You should be able to create a Logical Editor Preset that does what you want and then assign a Key Command to it. Not at my DAW to verify, but I do use it all the time to set specific colors and most LE stuff can generate random results.

Also I think there is a setting that will set a Track to a random color at creation, which is likely all you need.
