Key Command to Create Parts on a Track between locators

This would be extremely useful, especially with very large pallettes. Using the pencil tool, when a project is zoomed to see all the tracks is difficult.


When you have over 150 midi/instrument tracks the pencil gets impercise and it would make workflow much faster to be able to select a track, push a key command and then have a part. Now I try to draw it in and usually have to try a few times before the part is on the right track (if the zoom level isn’t larger)

Ah! Cubase returns! It was simply called “Create Part”.

(old Cubase, before SX, had this)

Yes, I have an Autohotkey macro to do this and I would LOVE to retire it.
