I have looked all over the manual and online for an answer for this.
I have removed all the components from the key editor’s inspector and now how the hell can I get them back? I can’t find any info!!!
Wow. I’d call this a bug, since it should not be possible to remove all the elements if there is no tool available to put them back. (fbeauvaisc see below for a workaround to get them back)
Repro:
New project
new midi track, new part
open Key Editor, open inspector
Right-click on a tab, open Setup
Remove all tabs
Close window
Tabs are gone, and there’s no way to bring them back.
Workaround: Delete this file:
Win: %AppData%\Steinberg\Cubase 8.5_64\UserPreferences.xml
I forget the path on Mac- it’s been a while, but it would be something like
/Library/Preferences/Steinberg\Cubase 8.5_64\UserPreferences.xml
