Key Editor: notes not snapping to grid

Attempting to lengthen a MIDI note in Key Editor:

Time format is set to bars/beats in event window and key editor. Snap is on, set to Grid, 16th Triplet. The ruler in key editor shows regular 16th notes, while the grid shows 16th triplets.

When I drag the end of the note, it snaps to 16th notes (as shown in ruler) and not 16th triplets (as shown in grid).

Any idea what setting would be causing this?

As well as Quantize, there’s also a Length Quantize. These might be set differently.

That was it! I saw it in the manual but couldn’t find it on the screen because it wasn’t activated in the toolbar menu.
Looks like it’s working now, thanks!

Thank goodness for this thread! My Length Quantize was somehow set to 1/128 note, but resetting it to “Quantize Link” did the trick. Wow, what a relief!

Thank you. I was experiencing the same thing in Cubase 14 → I hid the quantize length option I was clueless that value set in that is resulting in this weird snapping :D. Thank you!
