I’ve moved from Finale and yet to write a note. I have a Keystation 49e hooked up. I hear the note, the green light flashes, but there is no input. Under edit/preferences/ etc. it names the keyboard, so Dorico knows it’s there (plus green light). I have searched the forums and not found a fix (at least not one that I understand). Someone have pity on this newbie.
Click on a rest and either press Enter or Shift + N to start the note input and activate the caret. Exit the note input by pressing Esc.

On Dorico Youtube channel you can now watch the videos for Finale to Dorico transition, hosted by Jason Loffredo. You can also find the links to these videos on Dorico’s startup at the Steinberg Hub Learn tab.
Not sure which of these I wasn’t doing, but it’s working now. Getting more used to the menu using a mouse, so familiarity breeds success.
