Keyboard shortcuts don't work because of iZotope RX11 (Standard)

For a few days now, shortcuts and keyboard commands have stopped working for me. Until I just discovered that Nuendo loses focus when I click on an audio event.
I mean to say Nuendo has the focus - but as soon as I click on an audio event, Nuendo’s focus is gone. The keyboard shortcuts then go to nirvana. Only when I click on the event and then click on the top row of the Nuendo title window will my shortcuts be executed again.

Did I miss something or accidentally set something wrong? I think the problem has existed since I switched to 13.0.41. Everything works on my other computers with 13.0.30. I’m intentionally not doing an update for the other computers.

Windows 11 Pro

All key commands or just some?

I don’t think I have this problem.

“All” key commands.
Predefined and self-made.

For me, Nuendo’s top title bar is green when the focus is active. As soon as I click on an event or plugin, the title bar turns white and the focus is lost. The commands therefore no longer go to the main window (13.0.41).
If I go to another PC (with 13.0.30), Nuendo’s title bar always stays green, no matter what I click on with the mouse. This means that the main window remains at 13.0.30 in Nuendo.

This means that the error is definitely due to the main window losing its focus no matter what you click on. I think this problem has existed before, but I can’t find anything about it in the forum.

Weird. I don’t have Nuendo up right now but could it be that you need the main set to “always on top” or whatever it is?

That would make sense. Unfortunately I can’t find such a setting.

I loaded older presets for the program settings - but it still doesn’t work. So I updated my second PC from 0.30 to 0.41. Everything continues to work there.

Then it seems that something is broken in the installation.

“Always on top” is accessible by right-clicking on the top of the window itself. It’s in the drop-down menu. I’m not sure that’s the problem though but it might be worth trying.

I can’t find such a menu. Are you perhaps on a Mac? I’m on Windows.
The thing is, if I click in the main window and then click Play - Nuendo plays the event.
Now when I click on the next event, the event gets marked with a red frame. But the Play/Stop button doesn’t even work anymore.
This no longer has anything to do with whether the program is “on top” or not. As soon as I mark an event, all keyboard commands no longer go to Nuendo.
In other words: When an event is marked, the keyboard no longer works.

I reinstalled Nuendo - with no effect. I have installed a FocusLogger. There is no other program that steals the focus. I closed all other background services and programs.
It’s like magic.

OK: Although there was not a single plugin loaded in the projects, I started Nuendo with [Ctrl+Shift+Alt] without third-party VSTs. And now everything works.

I then went looking for the plugin and found the culprit plugin: It was iZotope RX11 (Standard). After uninstalling everything worked. Keyboard commands and everything worked again.

I then reinstalled iZotope RX11 - and the focus error appeared again. After installing iZotope RX Standard I have the malfunction again.
So the culprit is clearly iZotope.

I now see that the same problem has been reported before:
