Keyswitches acting not correctly in my expression map

Hi!

I am making an expressionmap in Dorico Pro 6 with Spitfire Symphony Orchestra (SSO). The expressionmap keyswitch does trigger the pizzicato correctly in Kontakt but the long sounds does not switch off, so you hear the long (which I defined as my natural) and the pizzicato together. How can i fix this?

After some help from AI ( I used the manuals form Dorico and SSO) and some helpful Youtube videos from Dorico I solved my expression map problem. My solution is not to make use of keyswitches, instead use CC. I made an expression map for SSO strings (all articulations) only by using CC. I put in each CC the controller on 32. You can see in the instrument for each technique which CC is been used. I find it more easy than using keyswitches. Also the CC numbers for the techniques are the same for strings all technique patches. It is important that you switch the KONTAKT player to UACC & UI only. This solved also my divisi problem because SSO has no legato patch. The legato is being created by Dorico it self by using a legato slur. In this way I will continue to make an expression map for the entire SSO library. This will take some time.

Another option you might consider is what is called UACC KS, which is where there is a single keyswitch and the velocity of that single keyswitch corresponds with the CC32 value that would give you the same technique. Otherwise it should work similarly to CC32.

I know Art Conductor (for Dorico and other platforms) uses UACC KS instead of UACC CC32. I’m not entirely clear on why or what the benefit is, but I doubt it is done for no reason.
