Komplete Kontrol S49 not listed in Cubase 13 Midi Remote

Before buying the Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S 49 Mk3 keyboard I checked to see in my Cubase 13 Artist if it’s listed in Studio Setup/Midi Remote as shown on Native Instruments guide (see below). But it’s NOT! Are there extra Cubase scripts available somewhere in an update? Or does the script come from the keyboard when it’s connected to USB?

I don’t want to buy the Kontrol S Mk3 if I have to laboriously set up all the MIDI manually.

Hi,

This is not a MIDI Remote, this is a Remote Device.

The component is going to be installed with the software/driver.

Thank you Martin:-) Does that mean it will show up with the keyboard layout and be fully mapped, as if it was in the Midi Remote?

Yes, after installing and upgrading its firmware using Native Access and downloading their dedicated utility, you’ll see it in the section shown in your screenshot. You’ll then have DAW integration, the way NI designed it. Note that this has nothing to do with the MIDI Remote, but it doesn’t really matter.

Thank you both so much for your lucid and very reassuring guidance. Wonderful to have such a supportive forum!

With the fast moving competitive innovations now happening I’ve learned to always double check DAW/Equipment compatibility

Does anyone know if we can map the Focus Quick controls of the 8 rotary knobs on the MK3?

Its like Cubase does not even recognize the device.
I’ve have to set up a Nektar P1 as a midi controller just for Quick controls and focus quick controls.
