Hello everyone, I do have a korg krome ex and I am trying to record in midi track throught the korg krome banks. It seems that I cant find the synth through the midi device manager. I have installed the most recent drivers from official korg web site, also tried all the usb ports, but no possitive result. However, I am able to play and record with Vst instruments. My PC is an Intel(R) Core™ i5-10400F CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz RAM 16,0 GB 64 bit Windows 10 Pro. I would very much appreciate your advise.
Hi and welcome to the forum,
Do you use WinRT driver type or not, please?
Hello and thank for prompt response. I am not familiar with WinRT driver type.
Hi,
Is your KORG connected via USB to the computer? Could you please attach a screenshot of the Studio > Studio Setup > MIDI Ports Setup window?
First of all: You don’t need to install any MIDI Device in Cubase in order to be able to record MIDI data onto a MIDI track.
You say that you can play and record MIDI on an Instrument (VSTi) track but not on a MIDI track? That sounds a bit strange.
Which edition of Cubase do you have (Pro, artist, Elements,…) and which version of Cubase?
Can you please make a screen shot of your project window? We need to see what is going on.
Heelo , this is the set up.
Hello, its the 13.0.41 (x64) version
Hi,
The KROME MIDI Port doesn’t work?
I have to ask.
If you create an Instrument track (load Retrologue e.g.) and use these input settings…
… can you then record MIDI on that track?
I am pushing record, there is a delay on starting to record. After 3- seconds it begions to receive signal; I can see the meter. However, I can not hear anything when I am recording, also after the recording, when I am pushing play.
The same happens using the midi port
