Korg NanoKontrol Studio MIDI remote script available for Cubase

Hi Folks,

Just to let you know I have completed a fully working driver (aka midi script) for the Korg NanoKontrol Studio device. Tested in Cubase 12 but should be fully working for other versions according to API compatiblity chart.

You can get it at Korg NanoKONTROL studio remote script for CUBASE.

<< & >> are used to navigate between the mixer banks (aka tracks, by group of 8)

For each of the 8 tracks, you get volume, pan, solo faders and mute, rec and select buttons

  • Transport controls: rewind, start, stop, rec

  • Markers: set, next marker, previous marker buttons

  • Cycle mode toggle button

  • Precisely jump to any time location using the rotary encoder

Make great music!
Emmanuel

Hi, good to see a remote for the Nano Studio!
Mind clarifying that we’re indeed talking about a MIDI Remote Script and not an actual hardware driver? Perhaps you’d like to add the tag “shared-midi-remote”.

Can you describe the script any closer? Have you found a way to switch between the five different pages from inside the script?

Thanks for the tip. Title and tags updated.

Hey. Which pages are you talking about exactly. As far as Mixer tracks are concerned, you can use the << and >> buttons to switch over the banks (you have 8 tracks / bank with the NanoKONTROL Studio)

I was referring to the scene button. I have set up my controller like yours, but with five identical controllers side by side, each representing one of the scenes I can choose from the controller. One scene controls the mixer like your script, one scene controls quick controls, one controls EQ, one controls instrument parameters and one controls sends. It works, but it looks a bit clunky. I was wondering if you had found a way to sign the scenes to pages, but I guess you haven’t.

I don’t think this is actually being shared - so doesn’t really qualify for that tag?

The author seems to want to sell it via personal contact?

Ah, you are correct! I haven’t noticed the details of the post, thought it was a shared remote…

Excellent idea to use the Scene button to navigate thru other assignments, especially VST settings and EQ. I will work on it and let you know. The only issue I can think of is the absence of display on the controller to indicate which “scene” mode is actually in use…

On my controller there are five lights to indicate which scene you’re on at the moment, but I don’t know how to show the same information on the interface in Cubase.

You are correct indeed, we could use those led to show the actual page. Will work on it next week.

Does your script work over bluetooth or does it have to be connected by USB?
