Drop outs and under runs is the never ending story for Cubase. And most other DAW’s too. What needed is some self diagnostics that can be run within cubase and test cubase with its environment. Testing all plugs, and latencies, loads. Possible outcome is recommended cubase audio settings. Maybe also a numeric value how costly each plugs are to use on the system it is currently running on.
- 1 for individual plugin cpu cost. I quite often will test new plugins within Studio one to see how costly they are as it has good implementation of this.
Can sometimes be quite revealing. Not always 100% sure how they correlate within Cubase, but generally gives me some idea.
