I originally posted this in the “miscellaneous” area of the forum and have deleted it from there.
I have an audio channel who’s output is going to a group channel which is then outputted to a second group channel.
I sent a signal from a send on my audio channel to an effects channel with a UAD Fairchild compressor on the insert and there was phasing between the group channel (the final destination of said audio track) and the effects channel receiving the send signal from the audio channel
If I send the same signal to the effects channel that has the Fairchild on it’s insert from the second group channel (the final output of the audio channel) there is no phasing.
So my conclusion is that there is a slight delay when you buss out an audio channel to a group channel.
